Bello minion fans! If you've ever wondered what it be like to be one of those adorable yellow pill-shaped minions from the Minions franchise, now's your chance sia!

At Resorts World Sentosa, the Minions Perspective Experience is an interactive event consisting of eight thematic zones that tell the story of your favourite minion-filled movies and characters. It runs until 2 January 2023, but if you're a kiasu fan, you wanna know what lies in store RIGHT NOW. The Honest People went down to check it out and here are some awesome moments from the experience. Tickets go for $30 using Klook and I’d say it’s actually a pretty good lobang.

What We Saw:

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the Minion movies

Upon entering the exhibit, you will be treated to some iconic movie scenes from the pre-show theatre.

It was nice to see some of the scenes, such as Agnes's first moments with Gru, but the scenes could have been better chosen lah. I felt as if I was watching a teaser for the movies.

Upon exiting the theatre, visitors will be welcomed by a gallery that shows behind-the-scenes photos of the filmmaking process. Each movie has its own section of the gallery with short synopsis and sketches. Cool sia.

The sketches of the characters are my favourite items in the gallery. Here is a sketch of Lucy Wilde. Lucy Wilde plays a key role in Despicable Me 2 & 3. She was a rookie agent in the Anti-Villain League. What happened to her? If you haven't watched I'm not gonna spoil!

It was interesting to see how much effort was put into creating the looks and characteristics to match the character's characteristics and resemble the voice actor.

Work with Felonious Gru and the minions to invent uncanny gadgets

I have finally achieved my dream. There's nothing like seeing Gru's quirky inventions in person! Don't miss Gru's spectacular airship, which is a huge hit with children.

Get creative with the Fart Gun by creating the smelliest farts ever! It was my favourite part of the exhibition. I tell you confirm-plus-chop Gru’s lab is the highlight of the exhibition.

Don't forget to take pictures with everyone’s favourite Dr Nefario, who was frozen in carbonite during an experiment gone wrong.

Meet Agnes & Fluffy, Plus Colour the Minions

When we think of Gru, we can't help but think of his three adorable daughters. Take a look at the iconic missile beds in the girl’s room. When I heard that I would be able to see the girls' room, I was eager to meet Edith & Margo. However, they weren't there, much to my disappointment eh.

On the bright side, you do get to see Agnes’s Fluffy. Get some adorable photos taken with mega-sized Fluffy!

You can also colour the Minion-themed design on a small screen and watch it appear on the large display. Conspire with the Villains and their Heinous Games MUAHAHAHAAA

It wouldn't be a Minions exhibition without villains since the entire story revolves around them. Don’t be shy leh! Take many quirky pictures with your favourite villains.

You also get to play some of their devious games. Among the most popular games is the El Macho Memory Game, which requires players to memorize a set path shown on the floor as each panel lights up differently - just like the movie!

It's fun to play since it challenges you to remember it quickly. However, my game was cut short as an adorable kid started running across my path hahaha. Beat the top scores and you'll find yourself on the wall of fame!

As soon as everyone has their adrenaline pumping, head over to Banana Mania, where two teams can compete to collect virtual bananas by throwing the balls at the bananas as quickly as possible.

Travel and Pose with the Minions during the Minion Age

Tired? Lepak at Minion Age as it is the Final Zone.

Discover Minions from different eras. Fan-favourite scenes of the Minions can be found here, from the Stone Age to the Egyptian era, up to the reign of King Bob. It is a great spot for family photos as it has a large space and the staff is friendly enough to assist.

While I was trying to get a nice shot, I noticed that there were stickers on the floor showing the exact spot to take the best picture. Useful sia.

If you're crazy about all things Minion-themed by now, a speciality retail store is located in the last zone before you leave.

More than 100 exclusive Despicable Me and Minions merchandise are available. You can get T-shirts, posters, tote bags, and plush toys. I'd like to introduce you to Bob the Walk & Talk toy. There is something very cute about watching it waddle around the room. You can purchase it for $69.95.

Honest Opinion

Bee do! Bee do! Make your way down today!

The exhibition was enjoyable, especially for kids. For the amount paid, the 8 zones which have a variety of activities, photo opportunities, and attractions definitely make it worthwhile.

It's good but haiya, I think it would have been much more enjoyable if the exhibit had included Edith, Margo, and Lucy as figurines for people to take photos with. Many fans, including myself, are fond of these characters because they were crucial to the films!

Those of you planning on attending can do so from now to 2 January 2023.
