With the advancements in innovation, more dishes are getting plant counterparts. Whether you're looking to reduce your environmental impact, improve your health, or for ethical reasons, plant-based diets are a great way to go – and one place to start is Green Commons. Green Common offers a range of plant-based Western and Asian dishes – from local favourites to every kid’s go-to meals(And they’re not messy either 😊). They also sell ingredients for you to cook up your next storm. Originating in Hong Kong, it has branched out to Singapore, with a store located in Vivo City.

What We Ordered

As it was our first visit, we decided to go with what our hearts desired - tacos!

We first tried the Omni Chili Corn Carne with Taco Chips ($13), which were pretty darn good. The chips were crispy, and the chili had a bit of a kick to it. The chili felt like a great substitute regular chili and would definitely be something we would order again.

For the main, we had the Omni Golden Fillet No Fish ($16), the fillets were crispy on the outside, and warm and flaky on the inside. The miso ketchup added a perfect balance of savoury and sweetness, while the sweet potato fries were extra crispy but not overcooked! Overall, we were really impressed with this burger!

We also ordered the Omni Golden Fishless Taco ($17). The golden fillet in the taco was cooked perfectly and went so well with the homemade salsa sauce - it was an amazing dish overall. The shell was crispy, and all the flavours came together perfectly.

Then there was this Golden Rice Incredible set ($10) we ordered for my kid, but she ate it all up before I could take any pictures! I was really pleased with how the plant-based luncheon meat turned out. It had a great flavour and was very satisfying. I understand now why people have been raving about it on social media. It will be our must-order dish on our next visit.
