A newly opened boutique cafe, September Coffee, is situated in the bustling streets of Chinatown and opened less than a month ago. Fun fact: it was named after the owner’s birthday month! Interesting idea sia.

The inspiration behind the interior design came from cafes in South Korea and Thailand, which explains the numerous indoor greeneries and overall neutral color tones. I'm a sucker for pretty food, so when I heard about their fusion dishes and artistically stunning beverages, I knew I had to go down to try it.

I've stepped into the cafe for less than 5 minutes, but I’m already loving its ambience and interior design. What We Ordered:

Their Truffle Tater Tots ($7) are certainly not to be missed. Served perfectly fried, with an exterior that is crisp and an inside that is soft, and accompanied by their flavorful truffle mayo. I ordered the half portion but they do serve a full portion ($13) as well.

I ordered their Signature, Crab Linguine($20), which was one of the cafe’s signature dishes. The pasta tasted like Aglio Olio, only minus the spiciness. The saltiness of the crab meat and the mild richness of the pasta balanced each other out. I did enjoy the fish roe as it added texture to the dish. I didn't think it lived up to its name as a signature dish, as overall I found it to be a little bland for me. If there was some spice in it, I would personally enjoy it more.

I hope to try their Beef Ragu next time as it was out of stock on Wednesday when I visited so that was unfortunate.

The Sakura Peach Blossom($7) was almost too pretty to drink. It came with petals floating in the drink. The orange-colored peach at the bottom created a beautiful gradient against the chamomile and sparkling soda. The soda makes the drink so refreshing leh. The drink was sweet so it’s perfect for the sweet tooths out there.

Bonus points for the slow and relaxing background music as well. It definitely adds to the whole dining experience and the cafe aesthetic.

Excellent place for photo ops leh. The staff were very attentive and cheerful and may be keen to hear your thoughts on the meal.

Honest opinion: 3.5/5

Quote: Treat your tastebuds to a fusion feast

Although the pasta's flavor could be improved, it's a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. In contrast to the hectic life outside, this cafe has a relaxed pace. If you are looking to escape all of those responsibilities, this is an excellent place to go.

I was slightly disappointed because several things, including their Sunset Breeze, weren't available. However, given that they had just started, they might have underestimated its popularity.it could have been owing to that.

It does get crowded in the afternoon, so try to come early as they do not accept

reservations.

You can visit September Coffee at 258 South Bridge Road, #01-01, Singapore 058807. Their opening hours are from Tuesday to Thursday, 11am to 9pm, Friday, 11am to 10pm, Saturday, 10am to 11pm and Sunday from 10am to 9pm. The cafe is not a halal eatery.
